St. Augustine's Kayak & Tours offers guided kayaking from their spectacular basecamp in outer Peterson Bay in the heart of Kachemak Bay State Park. The central location has a wealth of diverse paddling routes and loops to choose from.including Gull Island bird rookery and it's 16,000 nesting birds and China Poot Bay, often touted as one of the world's richest estuaries with it's vast system of tidal channels.

Our trips are limited to small groups and are organized to take best advantage of fair tidal currents and protected inner bays. Our typical paddle route is chosen for it's potential for viewing wildlife, exceptional scenery, and calm waters. Our goal is to provide the very best quality trip within the time constraints of the tour you select.

Water taxi, all equipment, instruction and guide service are included and no kayak experience is necessary.

What to bring? Layered clothing (avoid cotten,heavy sweat shirts), personal water bottle, sunscreen, light weight shoes, light rain gear (pants & jacket), cameras, binoculars, bird book, and a love of nature.
